HGV Technician
Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team, maintaining a cutting-edge fleet that specialises in serving the vibrant events industry? Based in Pinxton, we’re seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join us in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.
Job Role:
As an essential member of our team, you will undertake a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on our high-tech fleet. From planned preventative maintenance to handling repairs and safety checks, your role is vital in maintaining our vehicles to the highest standards of safety and reliability.
Your responsibilities:
- Ensure availability and safety of equipment, trucks, and trailers for Operations Department use.
- Perform high-quality mechanical and electrical engineering work on HGVs with strict adherence to health & safety standards.
- Champion a safe workshop environment and promote Health & Safety best practices throughout the organisation.
- Support planned maintenance schedules to ensure vehicles and equipment meet regulatory servicing requirements.
- Actively seek efficiency improvements and continuous enhancements within the workshop.
Specifications:
- Fully qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / BTEC in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent)
- Advantageous to have IRTEC accreditation; training is provided for suitable candidates.
- Proven experience of a can-do, positive and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to problem solve is essential as the role requires someone who can work at pace and use their initiative.
Please note: Trailer mechanics will also be considered.
