HR OFFICER
Are you an experienced HR Officer ready to embark on an exciting journey with a proven ability to be able to build strong relationships with internal departments, and have an understanding of the haulage and/or events industries? If so, KB Event is looking for you to join their team!
As an HR Officer at KB Event, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of all human resource and people-based activities and initiatives. The successful candidate will need to ensure organised, accurate and effective HR records and systems are maintained. The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring all HR Operational support is delivered and this will include recruitment support, employee relations, and welfare-based tasks.
This is a stand-alone role where the post holder must be able to interact with employees of all levels and be able to positively impact the organisational culture and help drive transformational change.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- To produce high-quality administrative support for the business in relation to all HR and some Health & Safety activities and to coordinate any related tasks.
- To manage the recruitment of staff and to build up professional and cost-effective partnerships with preferred suppliers.
- To generate employment contracts for all employees that are legally compliant, accurate and relevant within a timely manner.
- To liaise with external professionals, where necessary, to ensure that accurate HR and employment law is given to the business.
- To set up all new starters on the Breathe HR system and ensure the distribution of information to relevant departments, e.g. payroll department etc.
- To liaise closely with the operations and fleet teams by providing up-to-date documentation and information to assist them efficiently.
- To act as a role model reflecting the Company’s values and to always act with professional integrity.
- To review and update the Company’s HR policies, documents, forms and letter templates.
- To roll out and implement a suite of HR policies and processes and conduct the necessary training for employees and managers.
- To advocate GDPR and ensure compliance within the remit of the role and to report any breaches.
- To create initiatives to support the welfare of employees across all areas including mental and physical health wellbeing.
- To proactively support, and act as a role model in creating a culture of inclusion and diversity.
- To assist any organisation corporate and social events.
Specifications:
- To possess proven previous experience in a HR role at a similar level.
- To be a member of the CIPD or working towards CIPD Level 5 in People Management.
- Excellent IT skills covering Microsoft packages.
- Competent in influencing and proactively supporting change initiatives.
- An ability to work accurately with large amounts of data and to be able to produce work that is accurate and appropriate to the audience.
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment with a varied remit.
- Competent in handling performance management issues, grievances and other employee meetings in formal and informal contexts.
- To have an understanding of the haulage and/or events industries.
