Well we managed to find that elusive sunshine in June; although we did have to go to Cannes for it. Twenty two trucks including rigids, 45’ curtain siders, mega boxes, an opening-roof curtain sider artic and a PSK container carrier, headed to the south of France for the week-long international advertising festival, Cannes Lions.

The first month of summer always brings music in abundance as the festival season properly kicks in. Whilst we still had over 31 artics still out with Rod Stewart and the Stereophonics, we also got to work on a lot of festivals including Happy Days (Surrey), Lost Village (Lincolnshire), Eden Sessions (Cornwall), Park Life (Manchester), Field Day (Victoria Park, London) as well as Elton John’s open air summer shows and, arguably, the biggest, most famous and most muddy of them all – Glastonbury. Coldplay and Rihanna also had the pleasure of playing the magnificent Wembley Stadium, so of course we were there working with them too.

As well as music, we’ve also been touring several trucks with Nitro Circus who have bought 30 extreme athletes to the UK to perform dangerous stunts and shows on freestyle motocross, BMX and anything else with wheels.

Utilising our new Moffett Forklift trucks it was great to be able to load in and out for Mazda at this years Goodwood Festival of Speed (we even managed a quick lap of the track while we were there!).

One of the most impressive venue’s we loaded into this month was Cunard’s Queen Mary II ship as it was docked over in Hamburg. Production for one of the ships headline shows had to be loaded in for rehearsals before it set sail for Southampton later in the month.

We finished June off in an absolutely fabulous way, providing the trucks for the film premiere of Ab Fab The Movie, in London’s Leicester Square.
