Transport Administrator

Based in Pinxton, the postholder will provide essential administrative and organisational support to the Transport Operations team. This role is crucial for delivering effective support across all elements of planning and development functions, including quoting, planning, driver instructions, and operational support.
Principle Responsibilities Include:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Transport Operations team.
- Coordinate and manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and transportation.
- Maintain detailed event schedules and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and clients to ensure all event requirements are fulfilled.
- Assist in the preparation of event materials, such as invitations, programs, and signage.
- Monitor event budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Gather, capture, and maintain data and information from both customers and suppliers.
- Ensure accurate and timely information is collated and dispersed to relevant parties.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event planning or administration.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Understanding of the events industry is beneficial.
The postholder will act as a positive role model, always conducting themselves professionally and ensuring a fair and consistent approach. Reporting directly to the Transport Director, you will work closely with the Transport Operations team to ensure seamless communication and successful event outcomes.
