KB Event are hugely proud to have been the nominated trucking supplier, working on behalf of Identity Global, for the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen on Saturday 6th May.
Describing his on-site involvement in the event as ‘awesome,’ long-standing KB Event driver, Andy ‘Spanner’ Shaw who worked alongside Production Manager, Andy Peat, oversaw the wider deliveries for the event, as well as fulfilling and managing specific deliveries into Westminster Abbey.
Green Park, which hosted the Public Viewing Area, received 5 Production trucks as well as 2 further artics carrying crew elements including on-site buggies and communications. Meanwhile, the deliveries into Westminster Abbey – the majority of which were made during the hours of darkness and which began on 12th April – involved 19 artics for both the load in & out, and transformed the beautiful Abbey into a venue truly fit for King & Queen. After the event, the carpeted Coronation platform including the two magnificent thrones, were left in situ for a further week to be enjoyed by visiting tourists.
KB Event’s involvement in the Coronation is another in a long list of high profile events, including G7, COP26 and The Jubilee Pageant, working on behalf of Identity Global.
In line with both Company’s on-going commitment to sustainability in events, The Coronation was run on non-palm oil HVO diesel, which is 93% cleaner than diesel in terms of Greenhouse Gas emission savings.
